This Classic En-suite Kruger Park safari has an included shuttle from and to OR Tambo airport, accommodation inside Kruger Park, sunset game drive, game drives in an open-sided safari vehicle daily and meals.
The huts are fully equipped with air-con, bathroom, comfortable beds, linen, electric outlet, chairs and bed light.
Located within rest camp inside Kruger National Park (clean linen and towels are also provided).
The Rest Camp has a shop, restaurant, a swimming pool as well as electric fence around it.
Itinerary
Start Day: Johannesburg to Kruger Park
Guests are collected from their accommodations in Johannesburg (additional charge). The arranged professional pick-up driver will take guests to the shuttle pick-up point.
We leave on your En-suite Kruger Safari with Air-con from Johannesburg’s OR Tambo bus terminal building in the early morning at a strict time (6:45 am) or later (at 11am). This shuttle (included) will be a 4 to 5 hour drive taking us down the escarpment and to the scenic Lowveld area en-route to Kruger park.
We will stop for lunch at your own expense on route.
Pick-up at Nelspruit Airport will be at 13h15 PM (included).
Please do ensure that your local flight to Nelspruit Airport lands at 11h30 AM for local flights and 9h00 AM for international flights so that you will be on time for pick-up. Pick-up and drop-off at MQP/Skukuza Airport are included (closest airport will differ depening on rest camp you stay in).
You will go out on your first Game Drive (SANParks Sunset Drive) after settling into your accommodation. Guests taking the 11 am shuttle will have dinner and then a night drive. This sunset or night drive will reward you with spectacular African wildlife at night.
SANParks’s rangers might return after the normal rest camp closing times and other guests may join this drive.
(Children under 6 years of age are not permitted on open vehicle drives.)
Our game ranger and host will pick you up at reception after the sunset game drive and before the night drive for dinner. A tasty complimentary dinner is included. Various dietary requirements are catered for. R250 per person voucher at a restaurant.
Guests are welcome to bring additional or alternative drinks to their accommodations, which is available at the Kruger National Park Shop.
Should guests arrive from the 11am shuttle, they will first have dinner before departing on the activity.
The restaurant has a liquor licence, so you cannot bring your own drinks there. Alcoholic beverages are sold at the restaurant (not included in the package price).
Middle Day/s: Kruger Park Game Drives
You will start early morning. Tea or coffee and rusks/muffins will be provided.
The morning drive which takes approximately 4 hours. We can also do a full day drive with rest stops, depending on the group. We follow a very relaxed schedule and the trip is happy-go-lucky. Take-away meals are recommended, should you like to increase game drive time.
Our knowledgeable game ranger and host will take you on a journey of exploration with impressive viewings of the Big 5, other fauna and flora.
The start time of your morning drive will depend on rest camp gate opening times (as it differs throughout the year) and you may still be able to see nocturnal animals. April to September, the rest camp gates open at 6:00 am, November to January (4:30 am). February, March and October rest camp gates open at 5:30 am.
When you return from the morning drive, a hot brunch will be served. After the morning game drive, brunch is a full English breakfast with coffee and tea or juice. R150 per person restaurant voucher included per person. In the afternoon you can leisure around, swim, visit the Museum, Kruger National Park Shop, take a walk around the camp, or just relax at the restaurant some more.
The shop sells African curios, food items and drinks.
The afternoon game drive (also around 4 hours) rewards you with highly experienced game ranger who informs clients of the history and background of the Kruger Park, animals, trees and plants encountered on the drive. This will be the best Kruger camping safari ever!
A dinner will be served (catering for various diets) with a R250 per person voucher at a restaurant. Stories such as predator tension and competition between different species will be shared. The stars in the night sky are amazing and so are the night sounds of animals.
An Optional Panorama Route excursion can be provided on one of the days at ZAR 2250 per person. The tour requires a minimum of two people booked to depart. Should only one person be booked on the day, the price is ZAR 4500.
Places visited are: Gods window, bourke’s luck, Wonder view, Three Rondavels and one of the amazing waterfalls on route (time dependent). Meal/lunch stop on route in Graskop (for your own expense). This excursion must be pre-booked with your safari and is availability dependent. For guests not wanting to take part in the Panorama route tour, can continue with the standard safari itinerary (afternoon game drive on the said day). Should you participate in this activity, you will start directly after breakfast, therefore missing your game drives for the day. A short drive out of the park in a closed vehicle applies.

Final day: Kruger to Johannesburg
The day starts early (after the game rangers or hosts’ wake-up call). The start time of your morning drive will depend on rest camp gate opening times (as it differs throughout the year) and you may still be able to see nocturnal animals. April to September, the rest camp gates open at 6:00 am, November to January (4:30 am). February, March and October rest camp gates open at 5:30 am.
Enjoy coffee or tea with rusks/muffins. The morning game drive is the last chance to spot the big 5, offering guests the opportunity to explore spectacular wild Africa, to spot a vast array of interesting wildlife.
After the morning game drive, brunch is a full English breakfast with coffee and tea or juice. R150 per person restaurant voucher included per person.
Guests are dropped off at Skukuza Airport according to their flight time (included), at Nelspruit airport strictly 13h15pm (included) and in Johannesburg at OR Tambo between 17:00 and 18:00 pm (included).
A bush walk is included on safaris 5 days or longer.
